Design and Test of a Single-Row Harvesting and Cutting Integrated Handheld Garlic Harvester

The current situation in which garlic cultivation is non-homogeneous and modular cannot be adapted to combine harvester operations. In this paper, a single-row harvesting cutting integrated handheld designed, the structure working principle of machine are described. By analyzing mechanics mechanism, process, design chassis, key factors affecting wounding rate, leakage net rate were determined. According force parametric analyses test results, it was determined that had best effect with conveying speed 0.6 m/s, prop 125.6 r/min, digging angle 15°~25°, forward 0.8 clamping point height 62.15 mm, rollover threshold value 0.89. Compared traditional harvester, injury 57.1% lower, 25% harvest 4.0% higher, meets requirements operation.
